Only 78% of participants successfully complete a Tough Mudder course. You’ll need to do serious training if you want to be one of them. Each Tough Mudder course will have varying terrain, mud, water, ropes, walls, and fire designed to push you to your limit.

Tough Mudder Boot Camp combines resistance training with high-intensity cardiovascular exercises to prepare you for the challenges you’ll face on a Tough Mudder course. This program delivers an intense mix of cardio and strength training in what some people call “circuit training.” We call it Boot Camp. The program is entirely flexible and can be tailored to the time you have available and your level of fitness.

What to bring on event day

What to Wear

UA Shoes - Conquer the elements on course, without losing a shoe. Lock your feet into the UA Tough Mudder FTHR Shield Trail Running shoes - designed especially with Mudders in mind.
Note: Sports cleats are dangerous to other participants and are not allowed on course.

UA Gear - Breathable, sweat-and-moisture-wicking clothes are Under Armour’s thing. And since sweat, water and mud are our thing, you’re definitely going to want to grab some UA Gear here.

Gloves - Gloves are optional, but some people swear by them. If you do decide to go with a pair, be sure to pick durable ones that prevent rope burn and splinters. Check out ours here.

Still feel naked? Head over to the official event gear guide.

Other Important Items

Photo ID - You MUST bring a photo ID. We cannot stress this enough. You won’t be able to run the event without it.

Your EventBrite ticket - Digital copy on your phone or a printed-out ticket.

A watch - The Garmin Fenix 2 is the ultimate training watch. It tracks your vitals, calculates your recovery time, and it has a GPS for live-tracking and sharing while you’re on-course.

A camera - Record all the event day action with the Garmin VIRB Elite. It takes HD 1080p videos so you can relive all your memories — without the electric shocks.

Fuel Up

Jack Links - Jack Links Beef Snacks are made from only premium cuts of whole lean beef, which we season, marinate, cure and slow smoke to exacting well proven recipes. Our Beef Jerky is a guilt free snack alternative which delivers a product high in protein, rich in iron, 97% fat free and most important of all it tastes great!

Muscle Milk - Working out is only part of the battle. If you want to build muscle and gain strength, you also need to recover properly. Muscle Milk Protein™ Ready-To-Drink gives you a generous portion of protein to help fuel that recovery.
