5KM, 13 OBSTACLES

The new 5K format is all about having muddy fun. Whether it’s your first Mudder experience or you’re a Legionnaire looking for a new experience the 5K course is action packed with 13 Obstacles in 5k. That’s more obstacles, less running. The obstacles are teamwork, fun and mud based to ensure you relive your youth and have a bloody muddy good time.

PARKING

All attendees must purchase a parking pass to park on site at the event. Save time and money by purchasing your parking pass now. Quantities are limited.

Rockstar Parking: Want to be that Rockstar Mudder? Think A Class parking right next to the Village, if this sounds like your type of parking 

Preferred Parking: Don't feel like the long walk to the general Car Park but a bit budget conscious?  Well Preferred Parking is just for you.

General Parking: Pre-pay your General Parking and make entry to Tough Mudder as easy as possible. Car Pool to make it even cheaper and save the planet Mudders. 

Handicapped Parking: will be available close to Mudder Village. Ensure handicapped pass is visible.

Bus Parking: Only requires the one car park pass and will be directed to the Bus Parking.

Parking passes can be added to your registration when buying your ticket, or through your My Events Portal (linked either in the confirmation email or here: https://myevents.active.com/toughmudderaustralia) after the ticket is bought. Stand-alone parking passes can be bought through the website four weeks out from the event.

PLEASE NOTE: You can either book parking as an add on to your participant ticket (ie within the registration process) or as a separate ticket using the links above.  If you purchased your Parking Ticket as an add on, you will NOT receive an additional confirmation ticket and access to the car park is via the bar code on your participant ticket.

OBSTACLES (NEW)

Tough Mudder 5k is an action packed 5 kilometres stacked with 13 obstacles. That’s more than two obstacles every k! All of the obstacles have been to designed to be teamwork, fun and mud orientated. There are no ice or electricity obstacles on the 5K course and all of the obstacles have a by-pass lane so you can skip as many as you like.  Each course uses different obstacles so to discover some of the obstacles check out of obstacle page here

TEAMS VS RUNNING SOLO

Tough Mudder is based on teamwork and camaraderie, you’ll work together with mates and complete strangers to finish the course. Teams can consist of any size 2, 8, 11, 30, 41 – whatever number you get to you can bring. There is no minimum number for a team or maximum number.

IMPORTANT – to ensure you receive the same start time as your team please ensure you create an official team via the Active Portal and ensure all members have joined this team 3 weeks prior to the event. Start waves are allocated two weeks prior to the event

Running Solo or want to do the event but your mates have bailed – we’ve got your back. You can either run the event by yourself (but trust us you’ll make friends along the way) or for the first time we have introduced Solo Runners Team – a great way to meet like-minded individuals and help each other along the way.  We will have a Solo Runners wave at 10am and 12 noon on Saturday and 10am on Sunday. single runners unite here 

START TIMES

Tough Mudder 5K is a non-timed event and we release participants onto the course in waves of around 300 – 400 people every 20 minutes. We allocate start waves to teams based on their preferred times.

Generally, the 5K Start Waves commence from 10am Saturday through to 1pm and Sunday 10am to 10.40am.

All participants will start together (5K and Classic) so if you have members of your team wanting to do 5K and some wanting the Classic you can all start together.

During the registration process you will be asked nominate a preferred start time slot (Early Morning, Late Morning or Early Afternoon).  Please note we try to accommodate everyone’s request but your start time may be outside this preferred timeslot.

Start waves are allocated two weeks prior to the event,

AGE RESTRICTIONS (NEW)

In 2019 we’re lowering the age to include no include 14 and over for all 5K and Classic events.

All under 18 years olds must be registered by a guardian and be accompanied by an 18+ guardian on course at all times. We allow a 2 minors to 1 guardian ratio on course.

The 18+ guardian must pass through registration at the same time as the minor through the specially marked U18 registration lanes.

Spectators

Tough Mudder is just as much a spectator sport as it is a participant event, and we welcome all spectators.

Whether you’re coming to watch a loved one or just want to check out the action to see what it’s all about – you’re guaranteed an action packed day of laughs and memories.

Our Epic Mudder Village is packed with sponsor activations, Happy Ending our Finisher Obstacle and our brand new obstacle the Gauntlet, a refreshing bar and of course delicious food. We also create a spectator route which takes you out on course to take in some of the obstacles and watch your Mudders tackle the course.

Anyone who wants access to the course or event will need to have a spectator pass to enter. Spectator tickets are available to purchase through the standard registration form as a ticket add-on, as a stand-alone ticket four weeks out from the event or on-site. For those that have already purchased their ticket but didn’t add the spectator ticket, they can do this post registration through your My Events Portal – A link to the portal is found at the bottom of your confirmation email or through the following link: https://myevents.active.com/toughmudderaustralia

Please note that on-site prices are higher than online. Anyone aged 13 years old or under is free. That's right, free. No need to sign them up. Just bring them along on event weekend. Spectator tickets that are purchased through the portal or through the registration process will automatically added to the same QR code as your ticket and there will not be an updated confirmation email send. Spectator tickets purchased separately within four weeks of the event should receive a separate QR code and confirmation.

What to do

WHAT TO BRING

CONFIRMATION EMAIL: Print your registration confirmation email before arriving at check-in.

SIGNED WAIVER: Print and sign your waiver before arriving on-site. This will speed up your check-in process.

PHOTO ID: A valid, government-issued photo ID with name, signature, photo and birth date is mandatory to verify your registration. Think: Government ID, Proof of Age card, or Passport.

CASH: Concessions, Beverages, Merchandise and the other great souvenirs can all be purchased with cash. No ATMs will be available in Mudder Village, we strongly encourage bringing cash with you. We don't want to see you sad and hungry.

WHAT NOT TO BRING

DRONES: For safety reasons, no drones are allowed on site.

DOGS: No dogs are allowed on site. Service dogs excepted.

ALCOHOL: No BYO allowed on site.

JEWELLERY: We recommend the removal of all jewellery.

WHAT TO WEAR

Normal running shoes. SPIKES OR CLEATS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED.

Warm/dry clothing to change into after the event.

Costumes. Creativity. A sense of humor.

Sunscreen.

Optional: Hydration system filled with water
